Un viaggio nei ricordi

On a quiet Sunday afternoon, two long-time friends, Marco and Elena, are sitting in a café. They drink a coffee and look at their phones.

“I want to show you some recent photos of my family,” Marco says. He unlocks his phone and opens the photo gallery. “Look, this is my family at Christmas.”

Elena comes closer. “Oh, how nice! Who is this?” she asks, pointing to a tall man. “This is my father,” Marco says. “His name is Paolo. He is fifty-five years old. He works as a mechanic, fixes cars all day, and he is very patient.”

“And this woman?” Elena asks. “This is my mother, Laura,” Marco answers with a smile. “She is fifty-two years old. She is a nurse in a hospital. She works at night, but she is always kind and calm. She likes cooking on Sundays.”

Elena sees a young girl in the photo. “Is she your sister?” “Yes,” Marco says. “Her name is Chiara. She is twenty-three years old. She studies biology at university. She is very intelligent and very serious. She doesn’t like parties, but she loves her books.”

“Do you have any brothers?” Elena asks. “No, I don’t have brothers,” Marco says. “I only have one sister.”

Now it is Elena’s turn. She opens a photo of a picnic in a park. “This is my family,” she says. “Here is my father. His name is Miguel. He is sixty years old. He is a bus driver. He gets up very early every day.”
